Life in Retina
“Life in Retina” is an ongoing series that documents moments of my life with a 1952 Kodak Retina 1a camera. It’s fully manual. No auto-focus, no light meter, and no functional viewfinder. I measure my focus by counting steps and base my f-stop and shutter speed on experience. (Happy) Mistakes happen. I pair the photos with my own writing on the photo (scanned and added in photoshop), but no other processing. It’s fun and challenging.
